The Taversoe

The Taversoe is a 4-Star Inn, providing accommodation alongside its on-site restaurant and public bar.

Situated in an idyllic location, The Taversoe is located opposite the starting point for the walk up to the chambered cairn, Knowe of Yarso.

The Taversoe has 4 guest rooms (2 doubles; 1 double/twin room; 1 twin), all with excellent facilities.

Treat yourself to delicious homemade sandwiches and paninis in The Taversoe's restaurant, with a number of tasty fillings, served with salad and a snack portion of homemade chips. Or if you are feeling ravenous, try something larger - from the mouth-watering 'Fish and Chips', to the delicious Orkney Sirloin Steak - with many freshly-prepared meals to choose from.

Indulge in divine desserts; from superb sundaes - served with scrumptious layers of Orkney Ice-Cream - to Orkney Fudge cheesecake, heavenly cakes, and so much more.

The Taversoe offers a vast range of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including a selection of award-winning Orkney beers and Scotch Whisky.

A quiz is held at The Taversoe on the first Tuesday of every month.

Directions: Follow the main road up from the Ferry Terminal. At the end of the road, turn left. Continue for approximately 2 miles. Watch out for The Taversoe's sign post on the left, not too far from the Fire Station.
