The 'Pledge your support' for Rousay Primary School webpage
Pledge your support
Bank of Scotland, an official partner to the London 2012 Olympics, has launched a 'Pledge your support' campaign for local schools across Scotland.
Schools are in with a chance of winning prizes depending on the number of 'pledges' they gain. Primary schools, including Rousay Primary School require at least 25 pledges to have
a chance of winning one of 20 prizes of £500 worth of sports equipment vouchers, while 50 pledges or more would enter the school into a draw to win tickets to one of the 2012
Olympic events.
Pledges are completely free to do, and are given online, at www.bankofscotlandlondon2012.co.uk and by following the link on the page, to enter the school's name and click on 'Pledge your support'.
Anyone over the age of 18 can pledge their support, unless they are employed at the school they wish to pledge for; you do not need to be a customer of Bank of Scotland.
You can pledge your support to as many schools as you like, although you can only pledge once for each school. Anyone who pledges their support will themselves be in with a chance
of winning four tickets to an event at the 2012 Olympic or Paralympic Games.
Next year's Olympics will be the third time that the Summer Olympics have been held in Great Britain, with London having played host in both 1908 and 1948. In the build-up to the
2012 Games, the Olympic Torch will complete a 70-day tour of the country, covering a distance of around 8,000 miles, starting at Land's End on 18 May next year.
The Olympic Torch is due to visit Orkney on Sunday 10 June 2012.
