Free first aid courses offered to islands
Rousay, Egilsay, Wyre and Gairsay Community Council and the British Red Cross are teaming up
to offer a range of free first aid courses, which have been provisionally set for one week
in mid-January 2009.
There will be places for up to 20 people to take part in a one-day general course. Depending
upon demand, there will be time available for a further intake of 20, or, if required, more
specialised training in relevant injuries.
Time will also be set aside to train volunteers on Egilsay and Wyre, for the proposed supply
of defibrillators.
Anyone interested in participating in the above courses, should contact Bob Trigg before
Christmas.
