Anemometry Mast constructed on Kingarly Hill

An Anemometry Mast has been constructed on Kingarly Hill, as part of the Rousay, Egilsay and Wyre Development Trust's plans to install a 900kW turbine at the site.

The Mast, assembled last week, will gauge the amount of wind on the site, which should provide an accurate indication of the turbine's earning potential.

The Development Trust is currently in the process of recruiting a Turbine Development Officer, with interviews for the post scheduled to be held soon. The successful candidate will be expected to oversee the construction of the 900kW turbine.
