Islands View Surgery, Rousay
Islands View Surgery is a Doctor's Surgery for patients on
Rousay,
Egilsay,
Wyre and Gairsay.
The Surgery is located on Rousay, just a few minutes up from the Ferry Terminal. The present surgery was built in 1998.
The practice is staffed by two Nurse Practitioners (John Macdonald and Maggie Drosso),
who work on a two weeks on, two weeks off basis.
GPs from Dounby Surgery (on the Mainland) visit the practice on Wednesday and Friday mornings,
with appointments available 9am-11am.
Virtual appointments are offered on Monday mornings (9am-11am).
The GP clinics are held by Dr Huw Thomas and Dr Mimi Thomas.
The Scottish Ambulance Service provides an ambulance for emergencies, with trained responders resident on Rousay.
